Self Sharpening. The Tri-blade tip has a reversed bevel like a chisel. The bottom of the bevel is parallel to the ground so the cut stalks fiber acts as an emery board which continually sharpens the base. This keeps the blade sharp with minimal filing.

The anti clogging effect of the cutting and efficient cutting due to having a sharp blade reduces the time required to do the job, thereby reduces energy required and consequently reduces fuel consumption.
